Saturday August 4th: should have put these links in before - there are, of course, lots of YouTube videos of the music we're having.
To walk in: Bach - opening of Prelude & Fugue in Eb "St Anne" - only the first minute and twenty-five seconds, or thereabouts, but that's just about the time it will take Peter and me to walk from the door to the chancel steps (I wonder if Pete can walk in time to music ... ?)
To walk out: Karg Elert: Choral-Improvisation “Nun danket alle Gott” - suitably joyous! Not quite in the same league as "Transport de Joie", of course, but even though I'm sure Tom could manage it, I'm not sure the organ at St Dyfnog's could, and also, I don't know how all our guests would feel about it ...
What the h***, it's a splendid piece: here it is, even if we're not having it on the day: Olivier Messiaen: Transport de Joie from "L'Ascension". We'd have to walk really slowly, though - it's four minutes long, and I wouldn't want to miss the ending.
