Bride & Groom (of course!)
Been together for more than twenty years, but recently decided it was time to formalise the arrangement!
I'm usually the one taking the pics, so there aren't many of me! Jules managed to take this one at Eilean Castle in Scotland. June 2009.

Jules on the Harry Potter train from Fort William to Mallaig on his birthday. The weather was absolutely atrocious so we didn't see much of the splendid scenery. July 2008.

Tom, Debs and I were at university together - Tom and I graduated in music, and Debs in German, from the University of London in 1975. Known for doing a lot of silly musical things (piano duets, sketches at various university dinners, a performance of "Carnival of the Animals"). I went into music publishing, and Tom started out teaching, then went back to college to study Theology and became a URC minister in 1990. He and Debs are currently living in Bideford - I think he's hoping this is his last stop before he retires!

bride's escort - Peter Beatham
Peter is a table tennis friend. He's fond of reminding me that when he first appeared in Denbigh, I told him we didn't want him at our club, and he'd be better off playing at the club in Kinmel Bay. Bearing in mind he's the world's greatest wind-up merchant, I was probably right ... We argue a lot, but I don't think we've ever fallen out, and there is absolutely nobody I would rather have on my side in a tight corner!

This sums Peter up completely - I just hope there are no melting ice-creams around on September 7th
best man - Frank Dorkes
Frank and Celia (otherwise known as Petal!) and Jules and I have been friends for more than thirty years, since Jules, Celia and I were all working for the same music publisher, so there really was no other option for Best Man! Even if he doesn't much like cats ... (as indicated in the pic below - note the glazed expression - Frank's, not the cat's ...)

Witness 1 (& cake-maker!) - Norma Ash
Norma is my mother's younger sister, so I've known her all my life. When I was small, she was "Auntie Norma" and a bit distant, but these days she's one of my closest friends, and we quite often end up giggling a lot at nothing at all. She's offered to make the cake, so I know it will be splendid. Thanks, Norm.

Witness 2 - Rhian Hughes
Having run Denbigh Post Office for many years, Rhian knows everyone! That seems to include a lot of the people who are so far involved in all these preparations. We have days out from time to time (not nearly often enough!) exploring gardens much better maintained than either of ours (well, certainly better than mine!) and setting the world to rights ...

photographer - Stan Eastwood
Another table tennis friend, and ally in the days when we were both on the TTAW Board. Brilliant photographer; the only down side to that is that the day we all went round Bodnant, it took him about three times as long as it took Lyn and Jules and me!
