Sunday May 13th: sadly, but unsurprisingly, Marjorie has written to say she can't be with us on the day - she just can't cope any more with the train journey from Suffolk, involving as it does a trip from Halesworth into London, across London, then up to Rhyl, but she says she will be thinking of us.
Told Chloe and Nia on Thursday evening: Chloe's reaction was a large hug, and Nia's was "About ****** time!" (but a large hug as well). Managed a quiet word with Rhona, then Yvonne, and bound both to secrecy: I've said if at all possible, they shouldn't tell the kids until they're bundling them into the car to bring them down to the church! Doesn't seem to be a problem (Rhona: "Oh yes, we can work around that" and Yvonne: "no worries" - though that's what she says to most things!)
Went to early Communion at St Dyfnog's this morning - thought perhaps I should get a few more loyalty points before I get married there! Very peaceful, especially at 8.30 in the morning. Some enterprising small spider had spun a single strand of web right across the nave, apparently in the course of the night, and it was catching the morning sun as it streamed through the window behind the altar. Hope it's a day like this on September 7th.
